Midcoast artist and illustrator Anthony Bacon Venti invites the public to see his new work during an open studio Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 238 North Union Road, 4/10 of a mile off Route 17.

Venti graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, he spent a number of years as a Michigan Avenue art director, producing television storyboards and traveling to Hollywood. He is a member of the Society of Illustrators and his work can be seen in “Illustrator's 37.”

One-man shows include the Palette & Chisel Club in Chicago and “Romancing the Sea” at the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport. Mystic Seaport and Rockland’s Farnsworth Art Museum carry Venti’s popular posters, which also are available online at anthonyventi.com.
