The Eastern Maine Middle School Football League is in full swing with Midcoast teams playing weekly games.

From the Midcoast, Troy Howard Middle School of Belfast, Camden-Rockport Middle School, Medomak Youth Football and Oceanside Middle School of Rockland/Thomaston compete in the league.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, Oceanside hosted Medomak at Wasgatt Field in Rockland, with Oceanside picking up a 25-6 win.

Ben Ripley scored two touchdowns for Oceanside, while Cooper Wirkala and Evan Wilson each had one in the win.

For Medomak, Eli Miller had the lone touchdown, while Wyatt Fillmore had two catches for 20 yards.

Medomak Youth Football president Naomi Miller said "it was a great team effort" for the visitors and that Miller, Erik Benner and Ethan Jackson played well on defense.

Other teams in the EMMSFL come from the cities or towns of Bangor, Brewer, Bucksport, Dover-Foxcroft, Ellsworth, Hampden, Hermon, Lincoln, Mount Desert Island, Newport, Old Town, Orono, Pittsfield and Ridge View.
