The Camden Hills and Oceanside high school golf teams are off to hot starts on the links as both squads secured victories in recent days

The Windjammers, the defending state and league Class B champs, earned a pair of 9-0 victories, one over Medomak Valley Sept. 10 and another over Waterville Sept. 9.

The Mariners, who compete in Class A, bested Lawrence of Fairfield 7-2 Sept. 9.

The following is a breakdown of recent matches:

Camden Hills 9, Medomak Valley 0

At the par-34 Samoset Resort in Rockport Sept. 10, the Windjammers earned their fourth win in five matches as they prevailed over the Panthers. Camden Hills won by a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 149 to 198 for Medomak Valley.

The individual results, with Camden Hills golfers listed first, were: Julian Starbird (37) beat Adam Wilcox (48), 4+3; Daulton Wickenden (37) beat Aaron Smeltzer (50), 5+3; Drew Long (41) beat Cam Allaire (45), 3+2; Jared Garske (34) beat J.P. Lobley (55), 5+4; Drew Holt (41) beat Brent Stewart (66), 5+3; and Casey Rouleau (45) beat Josh Goldrup (59), 2-up.

Garske was the medalist with 34.

Camden Hills 9, Waterville 0

At the par-35 Waterville Country Club Sept. 9, the Windjammers sailed to their third win in four matches, this time over the Purple Panthers. Camden Hills prevailed by a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 148 to 213 for Waterville.

Julian Starbird, who recorded his first career hole-in-one in the team's opening match against Belfast, was the medalist as he finished an impressive 3-under par 32.

The individual results, with Camden Hills golfers listed first, were: Daulton Wickenden (37) beat Adam Barre (53), 5+3; Starbird (32) beat C.J. Gaunce (50), 5+3; Casey Rouleau (45) beat Keaton Lahneman (55), 5+3; Drew Holt (43) beat Adam Zarfos (55), 3+2; Drew Long (37) beat Alex Maheaux (55), 5+4; and Jared Garske (42) beat John Violette (57), 5+4.

Oceanside 7, Lawrence 2

At the Clinton Golf Club Sept. 9, the Mariners continued their hot start to the season with a win over the Bulldogs. Oceanside prevailed by a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 195-213 for Lawrence.

The Individual results, with Oceanside golfers listed first, were: Nick Mazurek (43) lost to Kelsie Dessent (41), 1-down; Zeke Hamlin (43) lost to Max Cobb (51), 1-down; Griffin Lombardo (50) beat Spencer Folsom (59), 5+4; Ryan Lawrence (49) beat Austin Knowlton (74), 5+3; Nate Hersom (53) beat Alex Bivier (70), 5+4; and Zach Bernard (54) beat Brett Foster (71), 5+4.

Dessent was the medalist with 41.
