Condolences

Sympathy is extended to the Doubleday family in the loss of their daughter Sarah, who passed away last week. Sarah had just graduated from college with her degree in teaching and had her first job as a teacher. The people of Hope were very sad to hear of her passing.

Benefit supper

There will be a benefit supper Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the South Hope Church on Route 17. It will be pot luck, with a chicken barbecue, and will benefit Tyler Wood's (grandson of Ginny and Joe Ryan of Hope) funeral and hospital expenses as well as raise funds to help his friend Antonio Seccareccio, who had his leg crushed in the accident. He will require operations in the future.

There will also be an auction during the supper. Among the items to be auctioned is 10 pounds of lobster. The supper and auction welcome any and all donations.
