Passengers had to be extricated from a vehicle Aug. 19, following a two-car head-on crash on Park Street.

Rockland Fire and EMS and Thomaston EMS responded to the crash at about 7 p.m. at 212 Park St.

Danielle Delano, 26, of Cushing was traveling west on Route 1 in a 2001 white Chevrolet sport utility vehicle, when a blue 2003 Chrysler passenger van, driven by Barbara Seiders, 46, of Thomaston made a left turn in front of her, causing the collision, according to a police report filed by Sgt. Tony Camporiale.

A witness told Camporiale the van crossed right in front of the SUV, according to the report.

Delano received incapacitating abrasions across her body. Seiders had abrasions to her arms. A passenger in Seiders' vehicle, Diane Daniello, 69, complained of back pain, according to the report.

Delano and Seiders were taken to Pen Bay Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to Deputy Chief Wall Towers Seiders was held accountable for the crash for failure to yield right-of-way.
