TAM has provided literature-based education programs in schools and community centers since the theater's founding. Education tours make adaptations of classic literature accessible to a geographically and economically diverse audience.

Since 2005, TAM has taken the Bard on the road through Shakespeare in Maine Communities’ tours in 60- to 90-minute versions of Shakespeare with five to eight actors. Plays are fully designed, rehearsed and tour to schools and community centers. The target grade levels are middle and high schools. This year’s tour is made possible in part by a Shakespeare in American Communities grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.

To schedule an audition, call 933-9999 or email Auditioners should prepare a two-minute monologue from the play; sides will be sent once appointment is scheduled. For more information, visit
