Lincoln County Sheriff's blotter

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has announced the following local incidents:

Aug. 1

Jonathan Sawyer, 44, of Waldoboro was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Kenneth B. Flower, 38, of South Bristol was arrested for violating condition of release on Atlantic Highway in Waldoboro by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

Amanda L. Rainville, 26, of West Rockport was arrested for violating condition of release on Atlantic Highway in Waldoboro by Deputy Mark Bridgham.

A crash occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Devon B. Gordon, 20, of Rockport and Susan L. Mendleson, 51, of Washington. Mendleson was operating her 1987 Porsche 911 southbound and was just beginning a left-hand turn onto Snead Spur. Gordon was also operating his 2008 Subaru Impreza southbound and failed to observe Mendleson’s vehicle had slowed and was beginning its turn.  As a result, Gordon’s vehicle struck Mendleson’s vehicle in the rear.  Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.

An arrest or summons does not constitute guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
