The Owls Head Transportation Museum’s 37th annual New England Auto Auction is this Saturday, Aug. 16. Up to 200 antique, classic and special interest vehicles will be offered for sale to the highest bidder during the museum’s premiere annual fundraising event.

The auction will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Bidder registration will be available onsite Friday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and preview and registration will begin at 7 a.m. on the day of the auction and will extend through the conclusion of the sale. Bidder registration is $75 and includes an auction catalog, free admission for two adults to the auction preview and two seats in the reserved bidders section on auction day. Spectators are encouraged to attend the preview week and auction, spectator admission is $16 each day of the preview and on auction day.

Cars included in the 2014 sale truly represent every taste and budget. The diverse assortment of vehicles includes a 1958 Jaguar XK150 Roadster, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird “E Code,” a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, a 1948 Chrysler Town & Country, a 1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe Station Wagon, an assortment of beautiful Ford Model Ts, two 1971 Fiats and many, many more.
