The inaugural Mass Pike Concert is set for Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the filed off Mass Pike Road. The event is free, open to the public and should be a lot of fun — just bring a lawn chair and a picnic.
Several bands will play classic country and other songs from yesteryear. There will be drink available and parking in the field.
To get to the concert field, head for Slab City Road just outside Lincolnville Center. Mass Pike Road is about 1.5 miles from the turn off Route 52 and about two miles from the turn off Route 173. Either way, look for the tents and signs. Those parking on Slab City must park on one side only.
