Adults age 55 and better are encouraged to register now for Bringing Language Learning to Life, a public presentation showcasing the work of the Penobscot School, Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 10:30 am to noon at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden.

Part of Quarry Hill’s Adventures in Living Well series, the event will show how instructors at the Rockland school blend classroom learning with cultural experiences ranging from camps to cooking classes to lunch cafes, where participants converse in the languages they’re studying. Penobscot School Executive Director Joan LeMole and instructor of French and teaching methodology Margot Stiassni-Sieracki will also touch on the benefits of language learning for adults seeking to maintain brain health as they age.
