Sharon Roberts, 66, passed away unexpectedly July 29, 2014. Sharon was born in Camden, Jan. 3, 1948, daughter of Charles E. and Dorothy E. (Lassonde) Morong. She attended Camden schools and graduated from Camden-Rockport High School in 1966. She attended St. Joseph’s College in Standish.

Sharon had a long career in the insurance industry, mainly with Peerless Insurance Co. for 27 years, retiring in 2006. At the time of her death she was employed part-time at the Averill Agency in North Yarmouth.

Sharon loved spectator sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Even more, she loved watching her grandchildren playing sports. Reading was a life-long passion.

Sharon was predeceased by her father Charlie Morong and her husband, Jim Roberts. She is survived by her much loved son Tanner M. Roberts and his children Alexis and Dominic of Windham; her mother, Dorothy Morong, sister Jeri Holm and husband Bill and their children Shane, Katie and Max of Camden; her brother Michael Morong of Buxton; step-sons Jim Roberts and his wife Molly of Portland; Tim Roberts, his wife Brenda, their children Jessica and Megan; Scott Roberts, all of the state of Washington, aunt Virginia Edelstein of Camden; uncle Everett Morong of Scarborough; her close and dear friends Beth King, Karen Hartman and Pam Burton; several cousins and extended family.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State St., Gorham, where a celebration of life service will begin immediately afterward.
