Four galleries in Waldoboro and Friendship will host artist receptions Saturday, Aug. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Tidemark Gallery's featured artist is Julian Sacks, equally at home in rural Whitefield as in the urban centers of the world. For this show, his oils and watercolors are all "Cityscapes." Just down Main Street from Tidemark, the Philippe Guillerm Gallery hosts painter Jim Root with sculpture and paintings by Philippe Guillerm. Around the corner, on Friendship Street, Old Number Nine will have a pop-up show of paintings by Bob Besaw and Stephen Parmley, also with sculpture by Parmley. And Friendship's Maine Coast Artist gallery is presenting "Inspired by the Earth," a collection of fine art and crafts.
