Keag River Gallery, 25 Dublin Road, will open “Dream Escape,” a solo show featuring new works by Rockland photographer Pipyr, with a 5 to 8 p.m. reception Friday, Aug. 8. The show will continue through Sept. 15.
Pipyr specializes in cyanotype, an antique printing process using chemicals in a darkroom to create surreal renderings in various shades of blue and brown. “Dream Escape” offers the this rare opportunity to see work created using techniques created in the 19th century … and allow one’s self to be immersed in a world of butterfly messengers, unexpected journeys and transcendent conditions.
The Keag River Gallery is open Thursdays through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit keagrivergallery.com.
