On Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Friendship Town Office, 6 Harbor Road, Ray Konisky and the Department of Marine Resources will hold a public scoping session on a proposed aquaculture lease application to raise American oysters and sugar kelp using suspended culture techniques on a site located approximately 200 feet southwest of the old lobster pound at the end of Forest Lake Road, Friendship.

The session provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the proposed lease and to have an informal discussion with the applicant about this proposal. A scoping session provides for open discussion and is not an adjudicatory hearing.
