Coastal Mountains Land Trust and the Camden Conservation Commission have teamed up to co-sponsor monthly natural history walks in the Camden area.
August’s walk will take place Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at Merryspring Nature Center in Camden. Participants may meet in front of the office building. Advance registration is not necessary.
The Camden Nature Walks explore land trust preserves and other local hiking spots to encourage natural history discussion and education. Participants should come prepared for an outdoor excursion, easy to moderate in pace. Please leave dogs at home. The walks will be facilitated by area naturalist Roger Rittmaster and will encourage experts and amateurs to discuss and share their knowledge of natural history.
