University of Maine at Farmington announces dean's list
FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington announces its dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. UMF maintains a dean’s list each semester for those students completing a minimum of 12 credits in courses producing quality points. Students whose grade point average for the semester is equal to or greater than 3.8 are listed with high academic achievement. Students whose grade point average for the semester is less than 3.8 but equal to or greater than 3.5 are listed with academic achievement.

Sosland conducts summer research at Colgate University
HAMILTON, N.Y. — More than 200 Colgate students are conducing innovative research across academic disciplines on campus in Hamilton, N.Y., this summer.
Camden Hills Regional High School graduate Hannah Sosland is conducting Peace and Conflict Studies research.
Hope student graduates from RIT
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Cyrus Hannibal of Hope graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial design from RIT's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences.
Local students graduate from Bates College
LEWISTON — The following students graduated from Bates College at the school's 148th commencement ceremony May 25.
Sarah Streat, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip P. Streat of Rockport, is a 2010 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School. She graduated magna cum laude after majoring in English and women and gender studies at Bates. She graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's most prestigious liberal arts honor society.
James Smith, the son of Dr. and Mrs. J. Brian Smith of Camden, is a 2004 graduate of the Community School. He graduated after majoring in psychology at Bates. He graduated as a member of the College Key, an honor reserved for Bates students who have exhibited outstanding character, academic excellence, campus and community service, leadership and future promise.
