On Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m., Bruce Gamage, local auctioneer and appraiser, will be on hand to identify those old or odd curiosities that one may have wondered about for ages.

Bring a small item or a photograph to the Dr. Campbell House & Museum at 225 Main St. in Warren village for a chance to learn more about the treasure.

Gamage began his career in the antique business back in 1970. He became an estate auctioneer and appraiser after graduating from the Reppert School of Auctioning in 1979. He has owned and operated a gallery on Main Street in Rockland since 1982, where he offers free appraisals on Wednesdays to customers coming into his shop. Over the years, Gamage has worked with countless charities serving as their fundraising auctioneer. He is a 30-year member of the Maine Antiques Dealer Association, Maine Auctioneers Association, and New England Appraisers Association, and is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association. He resides in Rockport with his wife Becky.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 273-3145 or go to warenhisdtoricalsociety.com.
