Congressman Mike Michaud, Democratic candidate for governor, will be the guest of the Knox County Democratic Committee at its headquarters in the Harbor Plaza Friday, Aug. 1.

Michaud will join an open house gathering from 5 to 6:30 p.m. where he will meet and talk with voters. Voters will also meet Knox County Democratic candidates, including Rep. Joan Welsh, candidate for reelection in Maine House District 94; Dave Miramant, candidate for Maine Senate District 12 and Donna Dennison, candidate for reelection as Knox County Sheriff.

Everyone is welcome to this informal opportunity for face time with candidates. Light snacks and beverages will be served. Democrats will be able to see the headquarters, connect with their colleagues and learn how they can help elect Democratic candidates in November. Campaign buttons, signs and candidates’ literature will also be available.

Tickets for the Committee’s Great Campaign Season Travel Raffle will be for sale. The raffle is a major source of funds for the Committee’s volunteer efforts to elect Democrats in November.

The Harbor Plaza is at 235 Camden St. (Route 1). For more information, call the headquarters phone 594-3901 or Chairman Adrian Humphreys at 763-4691.
