Participants in this year’s Penobscot Bay Rendezvous will celebrate with a post-race party Saturday, Aug. 16 thrown by Cellardoor Winery.

Inspired by the Rendezvous, Bettina Doulton and her team are creating an evening of entertainment, food and wine to transport guests to the ports of call from the Caribbean to Maine.

Earlier this year, PBR announced that proceeds from the four-day event will benefit LifeFlight of Maine. Servicing the community by providing advanced treatment and rapid transport both in the air and on the ground, LifeFlight transports more than 1,500 critical care patients annually.

“Quite simply, my friends, Shane Flynn and Dan Bookham, are passionate about the Rendezvous and LifeFlight. It’s an honor to be working with them to make this year’s events another success,” Doulton said in a news release.

“We are extremely excited that Bettina and Cellardoor are on board with Penobscot Bay Rendezvous,” said Flynn, director of Wayfarer Marine and co-founder of Penobscot Bay Rendezvous. “The Saturday night party will be one to remember as Bettina’s level of creativity and excitement is unmatched. This coupled with her commitment to local causes make this a perfect match.”

As in prior years, The Ports of Call Party will be held at Wayfarer Marine overlooking Camden Harbor. Partnering with Megunticook Market, Cellardoor plans to transport guests to the ports from Antigua to Camden. Performances by The Kolors and Whoopy Kat Band will set a spirited mood with Caribbean sounds and a playlist of classic rock favorites.
