The weekly blues series continues Monday, Aug. 4, with Brandon Santini at 7 p.m., in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Tickets will be $10 at the door.

Brandon Santini is among the nominees for the Sean Costello Rising Star Award in the 2014 Blues Blast Music Awards for the second consecutive year; voting runs through Sept. 15 at The Memphis vocalist and harmonica player is part of the latest surge of young blues artists destined to leave footprints in blues history, combining his love and respect for traditional blues with a present, colorful style of playing that is often compared to James Cotton or Paul Butterfield.

Santini founded the Blues Music Award-nominated band Delta Highway in 2003 and relocated to Memphis, where he honed his craft night after night, sweating it out in local Beale Street clubs. “This Time Another Year,” his second album, picked up a prestigious nomination for Contemporary Blues Album in the 2014 Blues Music Awards.
