Jackson Memorial Library, 71 Main St./Route 131, will feature the works of St. George artist Robert Steinmetz from Wednesday, July 23, to Aug. 27 in the Community Room.
A reception for the artist, as well as for those in the concurrent summer group exhibition, will be held Friday, July 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. Live music will be provided by Steve Lindsay.
Steinmetz is an accomplished watercolor artist who has been elected to Signature Member status in the United States’ two most prestigious watercolor societies, the American Watercolor Society in New York and the National Watercolor Society in California. His paintings have been selected by juries for inclusion in more than 30 local, national and international watercolor exhibitions including the 2013 Shenzhen Biennial in China. He has won awards in more than 20 of those shows, including several Best in Show awards.
The Jackson Memorial Library receives a 30 percent commission from the sale of art.
