St. George Days will be held Thursday, July 17 to Sunday, July 20. All events will be held at the town office in Tenants Harbor unless otherwise specified. The following is schedule of events.

Thursday, July 17

5 to 7 p.m. — Eastern Star Potluck Dinner & Raffle, Masonic Hall, Watts Ave. Cost: $7 adults/ $4 children

Friday, July 18

5 to 8 p.m. — Opening Reception: Artists of St. George – Don McLain Memorial Art Show. Odd Fellows Hall. Show is open daily through July 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Street Dance and summer games extravaganza with DJ Dan Miller, the The Dancing Lobsterman — "Maine-Hop2iT." St. George Elementary School parking lot.

Saturday, July 19

8 to 11 a.m. — Amateur flower arranging competition at Hedgerow. Arrangements may be dropped off between 8 and 11 a.m. Opening reception from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information, email or go to for entry forms. There is no entry fee.

8:15 a.m. — Half-mile fun run for kids. Meet at Drift Inn Beach, Port Clyde.

8:30 a.m. — Marshall Point 5K Lighthouse Loop. Drift Inn Beach, Port Clyde.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Jackson Memorial Library Book Fair. Treasures, art auction, and raffle, 71 Main St.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Meet your local fisherman. Wonderful event by the Midcoast Maine Fishing Heritage Alliance, a non-profit educational foundation created by St. George residents. Midcoast Maine Fisherman will have their boats at Cod End Wharf all day to meet the public and explain their business to interested residents and visitors.

10 a.m. — Local crafters. At the town office.

11 a.m. — Main Street parade and float contest. 1st Place: $100, 2nd place: $50. Join the fun and help make this the best parade ever. Entrants may pick up a number in the parade line before the parade.

11 a.m. to 7 p.m. — Annual Firemen's Association Lobster Dinner Fundraiser.

After Parade — Children's activities, sponsored by Harmony Bible Church. Visit the Historical Society Schoolhouse Museum.

11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Dunk tank, sponsored by St. George Recreation Department

Noon to 3 p.m. — High Island Boat Tours, free boat rides from public landing to high island. Dress appropriately with wind breaker, sun hat and appropriate foot gear for beach landing. Sponsored by Maine Coast Heritage Trust.

1 p.m. — Midcoast Community Band Concert. Odd Fellows parking lot

3 to 5 p.m. — Opening Reception. Amateur flower arranging competition at Hedgerow (see 8 to 11 a.m. above)

At dusk — Spectacular fireworks over Tenants Harbor.

Sunday, July 20

1 p.m. — Old-Timers Slow Pitch Softball Game (ages 25 and older). $5 per person. All proceeds will be donated to the St. George Fire & Ambulance in memory of Tim Holmes. Players may register at the town office or at Harborside Market.
