Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Forrestal; he was retired from the police service with the local and Maine State Police. He was known for his knowledge and skills as a tree pathologist, (AKA The Tree Doctor). Bob had a great love of nature and animals and the simple life.

Philbrook Tooley, mother Edna Tooley of Belmont; children, Amy (Keith) Small, Christopher (Carrie) Tooley, Andrew Tooley of Maine, Roberta (Bryant) Greenleaf and Tracy (Rick) Bernosky; brothers, John E. Tooley and Edward F. Tooley; step-children, Adam (Kristin) Clark, Christopher (Stephanie) Clark and their children. Six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Robert.

To honor Bob’s wishes to keep things simple, small celebrations of life will be held during private gatherings in Maine and Florida at the convenience of family and friends.

If desired, memorial gifts may be made to your local hospice and for the upkeep and maintenance of your local police department’s uniforms and up-to-date safety equipment.

Bob’s children and I are making a special request of any photographs, newspaper articles, mementos or stories that you may have to share about Bob. They will give us comfort as we receive them and we will have many positive moments to reflect and share memories. You may send pictures and articles, etc. to the attention of the Robert Tooley family at 6129 Linnet St., Zephyrhills, FL 33542. We are also on Facebook.
