The one-night-only “Peter Paton’s Summer Variety Show” offers comedy, music and more Saturday, July 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St.
Character actor and writer Peter Paton of Troy will be doing standup, ranting, emceeing and more, abetted by Leslie Stein and Jim Reitz, veterans of putting up with each other, in a five-part supermarket skit. Holly Danger, world class burlesque artist, will be on stage a number of times.
Those also includes top-notch, Midcoast-made music. Raised by Wolves, led by Vincent "Blind Albert" Gabriel on guitar with drummer Terry Lamar and bassist Lynne Frey, will play two sets. Tremolino — Leslie Stein on vocals and guitar; Chris Marshall on guitarra and balalaika; Jim McDonald on vocals and guitar; and Doug Ronco on bass and guitar — will perform Portuguese fado and more.
Tickets are $15 in advance at brownpapertickets and will be $20 at the door.
