Mostly Brothers & Company promise groovy, upbeat, rocking music, played by “some local boys,” Friday night, July 18, at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. The concert/dance party will run from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Mostly Brothers & Company is a group of five young men from Midcoast Maine who invite everyone to dance their heads off and have a generally fantastic time. One year ago, brothers Sean and Jamie Oshima teamed up with their lifelong friend Alex Wilder to create Mostly Brothers, a trio that performed folky, groovy, harmony-heavy tunes to warm the soul. However, three people can only produce so much groove. So the trio has called upon some company — notorious groovemeisters Duncan Hall (bass guitar) and Orion Krause (drums) — to up the booty-shaking ante.
Mostly Brothers & Company plays a variety of hits audiences know and love, along with originals “you don't know but still love. Come listen and dance!” Tickets are $12 in advance at Zoot Coffee and HAV II, Camden; and will be $15 at the door.
