The District 2 Little League 11- and 12-year-old double-elimination baseball all-star tournament pressed on Wednesday, July 2 — though the game between Oceanside and Medomak Valley ended a bit prematurely.

Oceanside held a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning when thunder clapped around the game site, which signals an automatic 30-minute delay of the contest.

After enough time passed, the game eventually was called off due to delays as Oceanside secured the 2-1 win over Medomak Valley (1-2) at the Marge Jones Recreational Facility in Rockport
