Waldoboro Police officers responded to 143 calls for service between June 23 and 29. Below are a few of the highlights:
June 23
Officer Jeffery Fuller summoned Paul Ward Jr., 20, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension.
June 24
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of harassment involving juveniles.
Hesseltine investigated a report of an unwanted subject.
Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report of an unwanted subject. Subject was found and warned on trespass.
June 25
Officer John Lash investigated a crash on the Washington Road at 1:50 a.m. Matthew McFarland, 30, of Waldoboro, was traveling north in a 2004 Volkswagen sedan when a deer ran into the road from the right. McFarland struck the deer and veered left into some trees. He was taken to the hospital for right side pain.
Hesseltine investigated a report of harassing phone calls.
June 27
Hesseltine arrested James Guptill, 27, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.
June 28
Fuller summoned Kayla Morris, 18, of Tenants Harbor for driving to endanger and failure to show proof of insurance.
June 29
Fuller investigated a report of theft of a wallet.
Lash investigated a report of an unwanted subject. Subject was found and warned on trespass.
Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
