The state Fire Marshal's Office was called to investigate after the outside of a home on Oliver Woods North was damaged by fire June 28.

At about 10 a.m., Rockland Fire responded to a report of structure fire, but by the time they arrived on scene it had been extinguished, said Acting Fire Chief Adam Miceli. The home, located at 7 Oliver Woods North, is owned by Jeremy Young.

A pile of rubbish located in front of the home had burned, which had ignited the siding and a window, but did not extend into the house, Miceli said.

There were juveniles in the area at the time, which Miceli said does not necessarily mean they were responsible for the fire. Officials decided it was best the have the Fire Marshal's Office investigate.

Interviews were conducted that afternoon, but Miceli said June 30, the office had not yet notified him of the results of the investigation.
