Ocean pollution by plastic and other man-made debris is a pressing environmental problem.
Come to a seminar Wednesday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at Camden Yacht Club to learn how ocean physics determines the distribution of different plastics in the ocean, and how it affects everyone.
Dr. Kara Lavender Law will discuss the state of scientific research on marine debris in the world's oceans based on research carried out for more than 25 years on sailing oceanographic research vessels at Sea Education Association, Woods Hole.
The presentation is open to the public. For more information, call 236-7033.
