The Rockland Walk to Cure Diabetes is set for Saturday, Aug. 9.
Check-in is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 210 Rankin St. in Rockland.
Become an event sponsor, sponsor a walker, donate a raffle item, form a team, volunteer or walk to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
More than 80 percent of JDRFs expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
At the walk there will be prizes, raffles, food, drinks and more. There will be free T-shirts for those who raise $100 or more.
