The public is invited to attend an Artist Talk with Tim Higbee of Hope Editions Saturday, June 28, at 4 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Building, on Route 173 in Lincolnville Center.
Hope Editions specializes in contemporary and traditional approaches to lithography through the art of collaboration between artist and master printer. Higbee, who is a certified Tamarind Master Printer, will talk about this collaborative process, the hand-pulled print and hair-raising adventures of printmaking.
To enhance his presentation, Higbee plans to show examples of the materials used in etching and lithography. He also will bring a litho plate and offer an opportunity to participate in making an image.
Higbee's "Solstice Exhibition" of solo and collaborative works is on display in the Lincolnville Community Building until Sunday, July 6. For more information or to arrange a viewing, contact the artist at 763-2738. This event is sponsored by the United Christian Church.
