The DaPonte String Quartet summer concert series includes two Wednesday evening concerts at Jackson Memorial Library, 71 Main St./Route 131. The Summer Series 1 concert, titled Made in America and featuring works by American composers Randall Thompson, George Gershwin, Earl Louis Stewart, Samuel Barber and George Crumb, will be performed July 2 at 7:30 p.m.
The second summer series concert — Entente Cordiale, featuring works by Claude Debussy, Dmitri Shostakovich and Henry Purcell — will be performed July 23. Information on programs, venues and tickets is available by calling 529-4555 or visiting DaPonte.org.
