Pen Bay Healthcare announces its Marketing and Communications team has received three national marketing awards (Healthcare Advertising, Aster Awards) and one regional award (NESHCo) for entries that exemplify exceptional quality, creativity and effectiveness of the marketing message.

Pen Bay received a Merit Award by the Thirty-First Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards in the Online Display category for the 2013 Better Together Digital Ads campaign. The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest and most prestigious advertising awards competition, with more than 4,000 entries submitted last year from every state in the country and multiple foreign countries.

The Aster Awards honored Pen Bay with two awards: a Gold Award for the 2013 Better Together Web Advertising and Silver Award for the 2013-2015 Strategic Plan Booklet, Brochure and Rack Card. The Aster Awards is hosted by Creative Images, Inc., an internationally recognized firm that has specialized in strategic healthcare marketing for more than 22 years.

Pen Bay was one of 54 hospitals, healthcare facilities and marketing/advertising agencies honored with the Lamplighter Award by NESHCo (New England Society for Healthcare Communications) for excellence in marketing, public relations and communications excellence in the New England region. Pen Bay won in the Single Item & Series Division – Media Relations "Donor Visit Media Relations" for the naming of Sussman House. The 2014 NESHCo competition included 365 entries from 69 organizations throughout New England.
