The all-new Gallery-by-the-Sea on Main Street/Route 131 will have an opening reception Friday, June 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends old and new are invited to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments.

The exhibition features work by six Maine artists in a variety of media: the late Leo Brooks, watercolor and mixed-media drawings; Kathleen Fox, watercolors; Wilder Oakes, oils and mixed media; Sylvia Murdock, watercolors; Otty Merrill, encaustics and silkscreens; and Chuck Paine, oils and pen and ink.

Gallery-by-the-Sea is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call 372-0583.
