Beth Heidemann will offer Math-a-Magic and Environmental Science workshops, July 7 to Aug. 15.

Heidemann is a veteran kindergarten teacher at the Cushing Community School. Her passion for science and technology integration has earned her a National Semiconductor Innovative Educator Award and a Presidential Award for excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

She enjoys designing project based learning experiences based on student needs and interests. The Riley campus in Glen Cove will provide her with the “outdoor classroom, “ with its access to a pond, woodland trails, cove and stream and gardens to share with children ages 6-14.

Summer at Riley is a series of workshops including art and pottery, creative writing, mini-musicals, Spanish, and photography. Space is still available.
