The Penobscot Bay YMCA is looking for volunteers to help make its first annual Race Weekend a huge success.
The Run Strong 5K (run/walk) will be held Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 will feature the 9th annual Hope Triathlon. The Race Weekend will be held at the Camden Snow Bowl. Saturday’s 5K race will begin at 10 a.m. and followed by a Celebration Cookout and Silent Auction. Sunday’s Hope Tri will begin at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds will support LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a program for adult cancer survivors as well as other community health initiatives.
Volunteer opportunities include: parking, registration table, water stop, Hope Tri course, lifeguards and the finish line. To volunteer, please call Jasen Wood, Senior Program Director at 236.3375 or email at jwood@penbayymca.org.
