The North Atlantic Blues Festival often presents the current International Blues Challenge champ and this year’s is, literally, the blues fest poster child. Castro Coleman performs as Mr. Sipp, "The Mississippi Blues Child," with a distinctive sartorial style and serious vocal and guitar chops.

Born in the small town of McComb, Miss., Coleman began playing the guitar at age 6. Now a God-fearing, hard-working family man, Coleman is a respected songwriter, musician, composer, producer, vocalist and performing artist who has played on more than 50 national recordings, including several Grammy-nominated projects. He has traveled to Russia and other international countries spreading his gift of music.

Coleman has performed around the world, in different musical genres/personas; and may be spotted in the upcoming James Brown biopic “Get On Up.” Mr. Sipp and Kin Folk competed in the IBC representing Vicksburg, Miss.
