Having sailed all over the Caribbean islands this winter, artist Philippe Guillerm is ready to open the doors of his downtown gallery with a new collection of work. The public is invited to a season-opening reception Saturday, June 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Philippe Guillerm Gallery, 882 Main St.

At the same time, just across Friendship Street, Tidemark Gallery will be holding a reception for its June “Rock Show”; and Maine Coast Gallery, down Route 220 in Friendship Village, hosts its “Maine Coast Artist Gallery Invitational.” The convergence offers a chance to stroll the streets of Waldoboro and Friendship on an art-walk-kind-of evening.

Guillerm will be showing some of the sculptures and paintings created during this winter’s sailing trip and in his Waldoboro studio. For more information visit guillermsculptures.com or call 701-9085.
