On Monday, June 9, dozens of antique cars ranging from 1935 to 1988 will be visiting the Matthews Museum on the Union Fairgrounds. The public is invited to drop by for this special event. Cars should begin arriving around 9 a.m. and the event will end at noon.

Museum admission will be reduced to $3 per person for this day only. Free samples of Moxie will be available for visitors and the museum store will be open for purchase of Moxie memorabilia. Matthews Museum houses the only Moxie Museum in the country and is home to the 35-foot tall, 109-year-old Moxie bottle stand.

Visitors may tour the museum which houses more than 10,000 items representing local history and early life in Maine. The fairgrounds are located off Common Road near the intersection with Route 17, Heald Highway in Union.

Regular hours will begin July 2, and the museum will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays during July and August, from noon to 4 p.m. Regular admission is $5 for adults.
