The new Lincoln Street Center has put out a call for its Art Expo, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, in the former city school building at 24 Lincoln St.

The Art Expo plans to showcase Maine artists and artisans who work in a wide variety of media including painting, sculpture, glass, wood, pottery, textiles, metal and more. Artists and makers of all kinds are encouraged to contact Abraham Knight at 712-1314 for information about taking part.

The one-weekend Art Expo will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, followed by live entertainment in the auditorium; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public admission will be free, and the snack bar will be open.
