Gwen Sylvester of Rockland is among the artists whose work will be featured in the fourth annual “Creatures and Critters” exhibit at Richard Boyd Art Gallery, 15 Epps St. The show will open Friday morning, May 2, with an artists reception Saturday, May 3, from noon to 3 p.m.

This year, the exhibit features a selection of wildlife and animal-themed art including animal portraits and works from the sporting arts genre, which includes wildlife, sporting and farm scenes. On exhibit will be paintings in oil by award-winning sporting and wildlife artist Beth Carlson, whose works have appeared on numerous magazine covers including The Chronicle of The Horse and Gray's Sporting Journal; limited edition bronze sculptures by award-winning sculptor Charles Ellithorpe, DVM; farm scenes in acrylic by Sylvester; animal portraits by Wyatt Barr; a farm scene in watercolor by Wilson Stewart; mixed media and wire sculptures by Jean Noon; and a contemporary mixed media work by Kathy Weinberg.

Gallery hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; “Creatures and Critters” will run through May 31.
