Brianna Bodman, 19, who was born and raised in Rockland is a race car driver at Wiscasset Speedway.

Loving the sport, she has been racing for almost a year. This year she will race in the Strictly Streets Division. Two of her sponsors are Knox and Lincoln County Sheriff's Patrol. Bodman chose to promote Click It Or Ticket because of a racing accident she was involved in last year. People often say that having their seat belt on can hurt them even more in a crash. She knows first-hand that two best things to save injury and life is a seat belt and air bag. Bodman wants the public to use their seat belts and has studied some statistics as follows; in 2010 more than 7,600 people were killed in rollover accidents, 69 percent of them were not wearing a seat belt.

“It is all about saving lives and spreading the word that seat belts should be second nature every time you get into your car," Bodman said. “I guess what I am trying to say is please think twice before you drive off without a seat belt on."

Her other sponsors include: S&J Towing, Penobscot Air, Meklin's Construction, Long Haul Trucking, Mission accomplish, PikWik. She also thanks her friends and family for the support.
