Knox County Republican Committee announces that its Help Heat Homes program has been completed for this year.

The committee has raised $92,675  in the three years its been operating the program. One-hundred percent of these funds have been turned over to Penquis, who in turn has distributed the funds to families and individuals in Knox County that have qualified for low-income heating assistance, helping 365 individuals and families across the county.

The committee had broad support from businesses, churches, and individual donors. Furthermore, this year the Lobster Festival donated $5,000. Cullan Hamilton, 12, the son of the owner at Zoot's in Camden, placed his $10 in tips for the week into one of the donation containers. All donations large or small are helpful.
