On Saturday, April 26 there will be two workshops at the Coastal Children’s Museum.

First off, from 11 a.m. to noon, Lowe’s Hardware of Thomaston will be bringing a scientific woodworking kit to build and then experiment with. This workshop will see museum visitors creating a science lab with an oversize test tube and a Petri dish. Participants will do some simple and fun science experiments with Rachel Wade, Build and Grow expert from Lowe’s. The kits are designed to be easy to construct with just a few nails so young children can be successful builders and be able to say “I Built This!” Open to all visitors to the museum while supplies last.

At 2 p.m., Scooter, a house bunny, who happens to belong to museum board members Tom and Drucinda Woodman will visit children. Scooter last visited on the debut of the museum’s Sea Star Stage exhibit and he definitely stole the show. Scooter's cousin Mouse, who belongs to Tom and Dru’s daughter, Sarah.

Both workshops are included in the price of admission and free for members. For more information please email info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org or call 596-0300.
