Keag River Gallery has put out a call for prints for "On Edge," a juried photography show. Deadline is Tuesday, June 3, at 3 p.m. Notification is anticipated by mid-June.

Part of the fun about photography is how we interpret what we see; everyone has his or her own perspective. This call for entry is open to both amateur and professional photographers. Keag Rivers wants to see how you depict "On Edge."

The juror's top pick will receive a custom canvas gallery wrap by the Keag River Gallery, approximately 16-by-20 inches (actual size depending on image aspect ratio). All juror selections will hang in the gallery's July exhibition.

Juror Sandy Dolan of Searsport first became interested in photography in her high school years. She went on to major in photography at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree. For several years she remained in Boston, working for the studios of John Dellaria. In 1981, she moved to Maine. She worked as a photographer for Belfast's The Republican Journal newspaper from 1989 to 1996, during which time her photographs received several awards from the Maine Press Association.

In 1998, Dolan’s color photography was accepted into Stock Newport of Newport, R.I. She was among 35 photographers who Stock Newport represented to the corporate and commercial world. She has been published in Cruising World and Soundings magazine, among other publications.

The entry fee is $35 for the first three images; additional images may be submitted for $10 each, and there is no limit to the number of images submitted. Images should be prepared as JPG or TIF files not greater than 2MB. The longest side should be 1,280 pixels or greater. To enter, visit
