April is National Poetry Month and Tuesday, April 22, is Earth Day. Camden Public Library and Coastal Mountains Land Trust are partnering to combine the two celebrations into an open mic poetry evening with an emphasis on celebrating nature.

Everyone is invited to come enjoy the readings and to read a poem or two of their choosing. It will be an opportunity to hear what your neighbors are reading and writing, beginning 7 p.m. at the downtown library.

Readers are invited to select one or two poems, one of which may be original, and read them at the Earth Day Poetry Open Mike. Noted poets Kristen Lindquist and Gary Lawless will introduce and end the evening with poetry selections that illuminate our lives on this earth. For more information, call Ken Gross at the library, 236-3440.
