Oceanside High School West music department, under the direction of music teacher Rebecca Leonard, will present a “Broadway Classics!” Dinner Theatre Saturday, May 3. The annual evening, held in the school’s gym, usually sells out.

Performers will include chorus students, parents, alumni, faculty and community members. Accompanists are Sybil Wentworth (piano) and Tracie Payor (keyboard). The chorus will provide a repertoire of Broadway show tunes from a variety of musicals such as Disney shows, “My Fair Lady,” “Damn Yankees,” “Nine to Five,” “The Music Man,” “West Side Story,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and more.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.; the dinner starts at 6 p.m. with program to follow. Dinner entrée is a choice of chicken and stuffing bake or enchilada casserole plus Caesar salad, vegetable and rolls. The dessert is a choice of blueberry cake or red velvet cake. Beverages will include coffee and punch.

Reservations are required, and seating is limited. For reservations, call 354-6351; one must receive a call back to confirm.

Tickets are $12; $10 for those age 65 and older; and $6 for students K-college. Children younger than age 5 are admitted free but must have a reservation. Proceeds benefit the OHSW music department.
