The celebration of National Poetry Month at Rockport Public Library, coordinated by the library’s Poets' Corner Workshop, continues Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m. with a reading by Camden poet Dave Morrison.

Morrison, a familiar face at the Camden Opera House, has said he is like a carpenter missing fingers — should one worry about his ability or applaud his devotion? After years of playing guitar in rock ‘n’ roll bars in Boston and New York City, he currently resides on the Midcoast. His poetry has been published in literary magazines and anthologies; and featured on “Writer’s Almanac” and in “Take Heart.” Morrison has published nine books of poetry including “Clubland” (Fighting Cock Press 2011), a collection of poems about rock ‘n’ roll bars written in verse; and this year’s “Stethoscope” (JukeBooks).

Upcoming Wednesday evening readings will feature Christopher Fahy of Thomaston April 23; and Kristen Lindquist of Camden April 30.
