The public is invited to an organ recital to be held Sunday, April 6, at 4 p.m. at the United Christian Church in Lincolnville Center. The 45-minute program is part of the Music and Reflection for the Season of Lent series that includes performances by local musicians, seasonal readings and time for reflection.

The April 6 program features Lincolnville resident Dorothy Koski, principal organist and choir director at the John Street United Methodist Church in Camden. Koski is well known in the area not only for her musical service to the Methodist Church, but also for her long association with the Christian Science Church and the United Christian Church; and for her accompaniment of school choruses and musicals. For her performance at the United Christian Church, Koski has selected classical pieces including J.S. Bach's "Come, Restful Peace," "Abendfriede" by Josef Rheinburger and Miles Martin's arrangement "Of Father's Love Begotten."

The United Christian Church, built in 1821, is located at 18 Searsmont Road/Route 173. All are welcome. The church is fully handicapped accessible. Donations will benefit the UCC Music Ministry. For more information, call 763-4526.
