Fiddles, clarinets and sunsets are some of the fun and poetic subjects of pieces to be viewed at Philippe Guillerm Gallery, 882 Main St., beginning Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Set in the charming village, the gallery features the work of Philippe Guillerm, a well-known French-born artist who travels the globe to find inspiration and driftwood for his creations. This show will remain on view through Nov. 9.

The public is invited to an opening reception Saturday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. During the same evening, just across the street, Tidemark Gallery will celebrate the opening of its pottery exhibit, so visitors will have the chance to browse the streets of Waldoboro on an art walk kind of evening.

For more information on the galleries and artists, visit guillermsculptures.com and tidemarkgallery.com; or call 701-9085 or 832-5109.
